Project Idea and Summary

This project summarizes the process of creating a new website that aligns with the growing projects and new corporate identity of the Time to Help UK organization. The need for this change was driven by issues with the old website, such as the multi-step donation and payment pages and challenges in promoting the projects effectively. First, logos were designed for the main and sub-projects, helping to define each project with its own color and corporate identity.

Solution : M.Ben

Problem and Solution

Problem:

  • When donating to multiple projects, the process needs to be repeated for each one.
  • The large number of projects makes it difficult to clearly convey them to donors.
  • Trip/Event and Blog pages are not prominently featured.

Solution:

  • Implementing a shopping cart system will make it easier to support multiple projects at once.
  • Highlighting key projects on the homepage with a brief description and distinguishing them using colors and special logos.
  • Introducing a reservation form system through a dedicated plugin for Trip/Event pages, prominently featured on the homepage.
  • Additionally, redesigning the site with a 2024 design trend focus, increasing the use of white space and a minimalist color scheme.
Application: M.Ben and Developer Team

Application and Technology

I was asked to design using the WordPress PHP infrastructure. Therefore, I completed my UI/UX designs in Figma, carefully following the guidance of the Development Team. I specifically designed with an emphasis on the increasing importance of responsive usage. I created unique visuals tailored to the corporate identity using Photoshop and Illustrator. To differentiate the projects, I designed custom logos and colors for each project, which facilitated their use both digitally and in print media.

Results

After the project was completed, it was tested for six months, and it was observed that donors can now easily differentiate between the numerous projects using their logos and colors. Additionally, they can see the current projects in need of support and track their donations. Donors can also make a single payment to support multiple projects at once, whenever they wish. They can explore and book special events and trips. Dedicated web pages were created for some special projects, preventing them from being confined to a single page. The Walk4Water and Humanity Cartoons projects are examples of this.
